It's possible that this one will exceed 250 pages before concluding. The two remaining parts will take place over the Tuesday and Wednesday following the Sunday storm.
This week, I finished outlining the rest of my book about the Joplin tornado. I also started over at the beginning with some major revisions, for the sake of clarity and consistency, telling parts of the story in whole new ways, from different points of view.
It's possible that this one will exceed 250 pages before concluding. The two remaining parts will take place over the Tuesday and Wednesday following the Sunday storm. In one productive weekend retreat, I have added 40 pages to the new novel about the 2011 Joplin tornado. It was tough to get Part Two started, but once I got it going, it got going.
Part Two takes place on the Monday following the storm, and things feel a little unorganized. I am compressing the timeline a bit to make the story flow easier. Tonight, I am almost 90 pages into the new novel about the Joplin tornado. The story is told in first person, by a handful of narrators, as it happens. The rough draft of Part One is complete, ending shortly after midnight, and the characters are getting a deserved rest after an evening of drama, fear, pain, and tears.
