After the 2011 tornado in Joplin, Missouri, the church website was immediately updated to include reports about our church family, the needs of volunteers and survivors, and the recovery of the church building. Thanks to the worldwide web, folks were able to find our phone number and address. Likewise, the church's phone (out of service for several days) was forwarded to our house, where we answered calls from every state in the United States, as well as a couple of other countries. Offers of physical and monetary assistance came from all over the place. |
