At the end of Out of the Wind, one of the church deacons announces the first truckload of supplies to be arriving from Nashville. The feet in this picture depict only a portion of the volunteers who were on hand to unload that truck and others. They are and will always be appreciated.
We can talk about gloves and rakes, boots and shovels, or skid steers and other tools that were used in the clean-up after the 2011 Joplin tornado, but to fully appreciate the remarkable clean-up is to recognize the hundreds of thousands of volunteers who passed our way.
