Shopping carts were dropped off at the church building soon after the 2011 Joplin tornado. Someone must have known we would put them to use - almost full time during the summer to follow - fulfilling the needs of storm victims. We were fortunate to have them, and they quickly became invaluable to our service to the community. In Out of the Wind, Hailey becomes quite familiar with the yellow carts as she works through the summer at the church building. |
