January began the second semester in Joplin Schools, and the first semester for students in new schools built after the 2011 tornado destroyed their original locations. Students from Irving and Emerson Elementary Schools are now combined in a new building at 32nd and Maiden Lane. The new school has an innovative design with emphasis on community. |
