Letters came to the church from every state in the nation, as well as from foreign nations. I'm glad someone had the foresight to keep the envelopes and the letters for future perusal. The tornado is such a part of Joplin's history, and these little things mean a lot to us. The size of these stacks reflects how much people were thinking about Joplin three years ago. Nothing can express how that made our citizens feel. Even following a horrendous storm, we experienced indescribable compassion. |
