Inside the new Irving Elementary School, in Joplin, Missouri, is an important piece of the original school - a block of concrete bearing the name of the school. The block is surrounded by photos of the school in its both early and its recent years. It is a quaint and understated display to commemorate the legacy of the school, which due to the 2011 EF5 tornado, now proudly rests at 32nd and Maiden Lane. |
