| After the 2011 Joplin tornado, letters were welcomed, and often read through tears. This little note from Texas was with some others, but we found it to be especially endearing and encouraging. We were humbled by the help we received in the form of correspondence or finances or personal sweat. |
This letter in particular reminded me of the letters we received in Oklahoma City after the 1995 bombing of the Murrah building. I used a couple of those letters in Crumbling Spirit, my story about the bombing.
