Another part of the discreet memorial in Cunningham Park is the sledge hammer. Sometimes recovery requires demolition. Sledge hammers, wrecking balls, chainsaws, and sweat were the order of the day following the May 22, 2011, EF5 tornado. Before rebuilding, things had to be dismantled.
