A family of 19 enters the church building, after having lost their house in the 2011 Joplin tornado. We are to help them with shopping carts full of supplies to help them "start over". Blankets, pillows, boxes of food, cleaning supplies, and toiletries are among the needs of this large family. The characters in Out of the Wind weave in, out, and among the work being done at the church building following the EF5 tornado. The work seems to have a mild therapeutic effect on them as the story ends. |
